DAVAO CITY, Davao del Sur,
Philippines -- Malaysian Defense Minister Datuk
Seri Najib Tun Razak will visit Cotabato City
this week, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF)
said on Thursday.
Eid Kabalu, MILF spokesperson, said Najib,
who is also deputy prime minister, would be
talking with government and MILF representatives
during his visit.
Kabalu said he does not know what issues
Najib would be taking up with representatives
from both sides.
But he said the Malaysian official's visit
could be a signal that Kuala Lumpur has already
decided when the next round of peace talks
between the government and the MILF would be
held.
